Automoblies - McLaren P1
It's needless to say that McLaren makes one of the finest super cars of today's world. Their design is great, their performance even better and the overall appeal of their cars is awesome. What i happened to draw is the McLaren P1 which is a hybrid sports car which was unveiled in the 2012 Paris Motor Show. The car, just like all the other cars designed by Mclaren is one-of-a-kind and proved quite a challenge to sketch for me. The aesthetics were quite complicated and the curves were aerodynamic.
This car was referred to as " The Widow Maker " on the BBC Top Gear show.
Sketches of birds
What you see here is a bird in flight with it's wings spread out majestically. The key feature of this sketch is the amount of detail that i have imbued in it. The perfect posture, the grace, was a bit hard to achieve owing to the fact that birds are sort of difficult to sketch. As you can see, the bird's legs are cringing into it's other end and the wingspan is quite respectable. The beak is long-ish and has a permanent look of humbled seriousness. The feathers on the wing are all aligned uniformly and that was mainly the big challenge. As i said earlier, birds are intricate creatures to draw and that no margin of error can be tolerated in order to get that flawless look. That's why you need to have a fragile hand and need to draw the feathers with caution and tenderness. Took me quite some time to draw that one. These are primarily white birds.
